systems and society

This site collects recent working papers by Sencer Yeralan. The papers are exploratory rather than definitive. Concepts are tested in public, arguments are refined through iteration, and provisional formulations are allowed to stand until improved. Topics include artificial intelligence, cognition, error, trust, and the evolving architecture of knowledge and institutions.

Yeralan is trained in science and engineering and has held academic leadership roles across institutions and disciplines. His work spans mathematics, computation, hardware and software systems, social inquiry, and institutional design. He is the author of several books and scholarly works across technical and interdisciplinary domains. In addition to formal scholarship, he has participated in public-facing and creative work, reflecting a sustained interest in communicating ideas across domains and audiences.

The working paper format is deliberate. It permits development without pretense of finality, where revision is treated method rather than correction.
